Talking How I spent my weekend

I spent my weekend using the clay bar on my car. I had read many posts about claying your car and the results of all of that hard work. I was never persuaded that it was worth the effort, after all I keep my car waxed and it always looks good. Well I finally gave in and set aside a weekend to tackle the project. Let me start of by saying I have a black car and have often complained how much work it is to keep it looking good.
I used the Mother's kit that came with two clay bars. After the first fender I was convinced that I was going to need both, but by kneading and turning I got by with just one bar adn plenty to spare.
The difference in that finish is nothing short of amazing. The paint looks at least a mile deep and as smooth as a baby's butt. I applied a coat of wax and rolled the car out of the garage; it's so shiny it almost hurts to look at it in the sunlight. No swirls or streaks, just shine and plenty of it, well worth the effort.

Re: How I spent my weekend

As an owner of a Black CTS, I agree. I could not beleive the benefits of usind a clay bar. mind you I went over board and hit it with three coats of Zaino as well. It looked unbelievable and lasted a long time

I found a product that does a great job between waxes by the way, and would recomend it to anyone, well worth the cost and very easy to apply it is thier "Surface Refresher" My office staff has actually commented on how shiny my car always is
