Sorry for the quality of Pics...

Here are my V-Rockers on my 2008 DI. I love how they flare out for a more muscular stance!

Re: V Series Rockers on an '08 CTS DI

that looks incredible. good idea on removing the rubber skirt. it does seem a little discontinuous at the front, and that should even it right up

Ill post a pic once I take the lower rubber off.. I dont think it'll be hard at all, just a couple of plastic pins.

Yes, very nice BD.

Any guess as to what purpose the lower rubber skirt serves aside from helping to plow snow in the winter (but I guess you don't have that issue in your neck of the woods)?

Re: V Series Rockers on an '08 CTS DI

Hahah, snow plow indeed! I think it's just a protective element for driveways, potholes, etc against damaging your bottom front of the nose.. Not tooooo sure though. I'm gonna take it off anyways, I'm a pretty cautious driver now that it's lowered with the bodykit and all.

Re: V Series Rockers on an '08 CTS DI

I remember reading it somewhere on this forum where that rubber piece was for the air intake or something to do with air. I think I read it in the CTS-V1 forum. I don't remember what thread it was in because it was went the first gen CTS-V came out. There were a couple of people thinking about removing that rubber piece as well. But in my opinion, I think that the rubber piece it to give the car a little bit better fuel economy. I think its keeping the wind out from the bottom of the car. I don't know that just my opinion.

Re: V Series Rockers on an '08 CTS DI

Has anyone added the V series side panels without adding anything to the front and rear bumpers? Would it look OK if I just got the V side skirt only?

It would look great either way. Without any mods to the front or rear bumper, it would look closer to the 2010 CTS side skirts. They are similar to the V side skirts.
