From the research I've done, I have gone with EBC dimpled and slotted rotors with EBC red stuff pads. If you're doing regular daily driving with some aggressive driving on the street then red pads will do well. Low dust as well which is nice since the stock pads are plagued with high dust output.

They're sitting in my trunk waiting for a good day to install them.

    Re: 2009 brake upgrade advice

I just put on some hawk performance ceramics in the front and hawk HPS in the rear last week.
Too soon to tell in terms of brake dust but they seem to do the job a bit better than the OEM pads.
I also upgraded the calipers and rotors on the front so it's even harder to give a comparison between the new and old pads

After I purchased and installed them a mechanic friend told me about Akebono pads and swears by them. Might be worth looking into. They are a bit cheaper then the Hawk pads too.

Here's some options at tirerack to give you an idea whats out there...

Or you can put on the CTS-V brakes like mistercoffee did and posted a How-To on the forum.

I did the Brembo conversion on my '11 Coupe. WOW! Big difference.
