Question Wait... so you can't put exhaust on the 2008 CTS AWD?

Hey guys, new to the forum, just bought a 2008 CTS4 (AWD) and pretty much becoming more obsessed with it every few minutes.

One of my potential upgrade ideas is an exhaust. In another thread I mentioned that and got a response that "there are no exhaust applications for the AWD"

What does that mean... no company makes aftermarket exhaust for the AWD? or that they do, you just shouldn't/can't put them on? Guess I'm somewhat a newbie. Learning though.

Thanks! and if they do many any that I can consider getting, please recommend something!

    My car has 85k miles

Just means that there isn't much available for awd cts in terms of aftermarket exhaust. You can go custom or do your own research and see if there are systems out there

The Magnaflow catback kit will work fine, you just have to heat and bend the x-pipe slightly. I have it on my 12 cts 3.0 awd.

I've found some older threads like this one

but it's from 2009 not finding much else at the moment. It's been 5 years since then, hoping somebody designed an exhaust for the AWD!

I'm not able to do this stuff myself. Don't have a garage or tools needed etc, so would it be risky to have a shop put this on?

Have any videos of the sound for this?

I would just do axle back...the dual SS OEM exhaust on the 3.6L is pretty decent but the mufflers need a bit more growl.

So I'm kinda in the OP's boat. 2009 3.6 di awd. It's my first Cadillac as well as my first remotely sporting vehicle. I'd be interested in an upgraded exhaust, I'd really like a deeper growl to the note of the car, and the bump in performance won't be unappreciated either. I have no mechanical knowledge/tools/space to upgrade on my own, does anyone have a ballpark of what it would run to have a shop install for me if I provide the kit?

Around $100 any muffler shop can handle it.
