Re: LLT Throttle bodies IN STOCK!!!!

Rock Auto list identical part #'s for the 3.0 and 3.6 throttle bodies, so, I am going to guess that it will work with the 3.0.

Re: LLT Throttle bodies IN STOCK!!!!

Am interested in the throttle body, but doesn't appear to be any link on the website RevXtreme.com to purchase. Any pictures or description of difference between modified and stock, and price?

These guys are a distributor for Vmax, not the manufacturer. I attempted to buy a ported throttle body from them last year. They took my money the same day I called and said the throttle body would be shipped the next day and that a tracking number would be emailed to me. Long story short, after not hearing anything for a week and multiple unanswered texts/voice mails I contacted Vmax directly. The owner, Pete Incaudo, took charge personally and within 3 days I had a ported throttle body. Excellent product, worth every penny. I would deal with Vmax again anytime.

Re: LLT Throttle bodies IN STOCK!!!!

Thanks for the tip. I searched for Vmax and found their webpage. After viewing pics of their work, can't say I'm impressed. Appears more of a smoothing/blending rather than an increase in bore. Also no mention of increased flow. Some pics show an uneven gap around the butterfly.

There was a video by Vmax showing the CNC porting process, but I was unable to find it. In the video they swabbed dye over the opening completely covering it before CNC and after you could see the dye had been machined away leaving the surface with a shark skin like roughness.
From everything I researched before buying, the CNC process Vmax uses doesn't increase the throttle body diameter by very much, but smooths the air flow which provides a 20hp increase and eliminates throttle lag.
I can't positively vouch for the increased HP claim because, with around 600hp on hand already, its kinda hard to tell a 20hp gain without a before/after dyno. I can tell you that throttle lag was eliminated and acceleration feels smoother.

Re: LLT Throttle bodies IN STOCK!!!!

They do not increase the blade diameter. Size is not always the best way to more flow.
Remember it must also match the intake, so other design limitations come into play here.

The entry & exit conditions of the part have a huge effect on the air flow capacity.
Reducing turbulence & providing a smooth transition into the manifold go a long way toward making power.

This porting can also give increased throttle response which is a nice benefit also.

Also the uneven gap around the throttle plate is designed into the part. The factory ones have this as well.
It helps to provide better idle control & off idle transition as the throttle is opened.

I have used many VMax throttle bodies in previous engine builds & can confirm the quality & benefits of them.

Here is a link to the video you are referring to.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPk92Q3Bzmc

It shows the porting compared to a competitors previously ported throttle body.
