2009 CTS AWD Sedan Performance Exhaust Options

I've read a couple posts about this, but no one has really provided a solution. I called Magnaflow and they say the cat-back system they offer will not work with the AWD. I don't want to pay 940 for the KPE Axle back system (although it sounds nice). I've also seen a couple of you talking about adding aftermarket mufflers and custom exhaust (one guy had a Borla)... I just want to upgrade my exhaust and need some direction. Can anyone help?

Hae a muffler shop cut out the resonator and replace it with a straight through pipe. Then have them install dynamax mufflers. A cheap method to achieve moderate to goo result while adding a deep mellow exhaust note.

I have the Bassani mustang V6 axle back kit. Waiting for the weather to get better so I can get it to the muffler shop to have it customized to fit the cts wagon. Ill post a vid when its done. wasn't cheap though.

You have a Magnaflow system on your 2012 3.0 CTS4? I have a 13 CTS4 w/the 3.0 engine and I am wanting to have the same Magnaflow installed on mine. Thanks

I have 2010 CTS-4 3.6 and Anthony is correct ,all you need to do is heat up the X-pipe and with a little persuasion it will work. After you bend the X-pipe the rest of the cat-back system goes in like a stock system. And the car sounds great if you want a little rumble. You can see some of my other post for other excellent mods I've done to the engine. This 3.6 runs well,

bringing an old thread back but I have my bassani mufflers installed but I need to remove the resonator. Is that the big X pipe looking thing or are they the 2 small ones in front of it?

I know what the x pipe is and what it looks like. its also a resonator x pipe. i was talking about the 2 right in front of it. to late now. I had them cut the stock x pipe out. put in a flow pro x pipe. 2.5 pipe back to the bassani mufflers. all I can say is wow this thing sounds mean. Ive had a few v6s with magna flow but this is so much deeper and when you get on it. it has a high end ferrari sound. very happy. ill try and get a vid of it if the weather warms up.
