    Spark plug Gap size?

I looked all over and I'm getting mixed answers. What is the gap size for NGK Iridium IX spark plugs... Does the gap change from different brand plugs other then stock? 08 3.6 DI. Thanks, Pat.

Per the manual, they should be gapped at 1.1mm (.043"). All brands of plugs should be the same gap. The gap is for the car's electronics, not for the individual plug brand.

Are you sure you need new plugs? How many miles on your car? What are your symptoms?

Advance Auto shows .044 for that plug. This matches ^ 1.1MM above

    Re: Spark plug Gap size?

Thanks guys. The plugs came pre gapped at that size but I just wanted to double check. I put them in yesterday and everything seems to be working fine. The car has 88k and I was getting getting a missfire. I changed the plugs and coils last year, but I used some kind of 4 prong plug that I think were crap so I replaced them again with the NGK iradiums. Thanks for the help, Pat.
