    steady increase in power

    Hey all,

it looks like the 3.6 DI has had a steady increase in marketed power since 2008. is this real? and if so is it just from tuning the chip or is there something ells that was done.

    Just wondering.

    Re: steady increase in power

there was internal parts that were changed, or removed or added. like for 2012 they made the jump from 303-318hp, and they claimed that mainly due to the lighter, composite intake manifold instead of the lighter aluminum. and then i believe by making the power steering pump electric instead of driven by the engine they were able to free up a few more ponies. And im sure that they adjusted the computer accordingly to take advantage of the internal component changes
