    Vossen CV3 rims on 2011 CTS Coupe, Please help

    I'm ready to order some Vossen CV-3 rims for my 2011 CTS Coupe and I have a few questions I was hoping you guys could help with.

    Is there a significant impact on gas mpg? I drive about 1,500 miles a month because of my job so I want to make sure I consider this.

    Has anyone done 20's in the back and 19's in the front? I feel like 19's in the front might look small and this would be a waste unless I was to drop it and im not gonna do that. Also, 19" tires are not any less expensive than 20's so I feel like 20's all around is the way to go.

    Also, can anyone please confirm the size and offset I need? I believe it is;

    20x9 +35

    20x10.5 +27

    & for the tires, 245 in the front and 285 in the back????

    Has anyone had any issues or heard of any issues with scrubbing? I'm kind of a newbie with aftermarket anything for cars so any feedback is much appreciated.

    I have them on my coupe. They look amazing and honestly I didn't see any decrease in gas mileage. Surprisingly the steering to me and my bestiaries feels lighter compared to the stock 18" it came with.

    Everything you have there is right and you will not have any problems. I would recommend 20" all around. I did think about doing 20 in the front and 22 in the back with a different wheel. This was before they released the 22" CV-3. You could look into that. If anything you might think that 20" look small in the back because of all the style of the body.

    Other then that pull the trigger your set!

    No problem. Put up some photos when you have them.

    You are right in 19" tires not being cheaper than 20". In fact, they cost more. Price wise 20" and 18" tires are about even and 19" are more pricey, probably due to being a less coming inbetween size. (Although they are now gaining in popularity). Vossen CV3s are hot, I wanted them and bought cheaper Giovanna Meccas instead and regret it. Total junk. Get the CV3s and you will be happy as a clam.

    When it comes to wheels and tires keep in mind weight is the enemy. The heavier they are the more unsprung weight you're adding to the suspension, more weight equals faster brake wear and less mileage.

    Agreed, I don't know if its in my head also my best friend but when I pick up my stock 18" wheel and tire and pick up my 20" Vossen wheel and tire the vossens feel lighter. I completely forgot to put them on a scale when I was switching them the other day. Kicking my self now. My thought was the lack of spokes thus the lack of metal and weight.
