What makes the DI version seem to need it? What damage is a little oil doing in the plenum?

It could lead to a little buildup on the back of valves, but it will end up in the cylinder where its burned.

Does it have a typical PCV Valve?

If you have an isolator installed the fit is worse so in my experience the stock fresh air is not worth trying to improve unless there is a very low profile product out there. The big advantage I believe in replacing the fresh air with a breather is eliminating the possibility of sucking oil vapours from the valve cover under full throttle. I know this happens, look at the picture of my TB above. It is full of oil deposits.
Why would the isolator affect the breather? The isolator only raises the IM, not the filler cap on the cam cover. Am I missing something here?

It isn't a little oil, it's puddles of oil in the plenum. And the buildup on the vales is unbelievable. It builds up so much it will restrict the airflow to the motor. DI needs the catch can, no doubt about it.

You are correct but when you put the isolator on the fit of the engine cover is compromised just enough and rubs the hood isolator a little bit. Add that to the breather hitting the hood and you need to compress it in order to not bend our dent your hood it all gets very sloppy and very amateur looking.

Just a quick note. I now have 3 catch cans installed on 3 different cars and 2 isolators from RX. They may have a long lead time but sometimes good things are worth waiting for. They always get you your product and the quality is amazing. Well worth the wait!

There are others that have excellent quality and had my interest. I bought the RX because it, too, was of good quality, has good reviews on this website and the Camaro website, and they sponsor our website.

I just went to to RXProducts website looking for a catch can for my 2012 CTS Coupe and your site only offers parts up to 2011 cars. Are you going to offer the can for 2012 cars?
