Very cool. If anyone has looked at my ECM timing logs from my Trifecta tune thread, you can see exactly how finicky the KR is in this car. This should help reduce the amount of timing retardation at WOT in the upper rev-range, I would think.

Is this different than the upper intake gasket? Certainly looks different...

yes it is thicker and provides better air distribution inside the plenum...

maybe u installed the intake manifold gasket spacer...the one in the pic is a plenum spacer, both are worth the purchase!

    Thanks Krazien!

No real power gains, but it does decrease the amount of spark knock and helps reduce the timing pulled by the ECU.

Even if you already have the intake isolated already installed?

Re: The Plenum Iceolator for the 3.6 DI!!

OK, we sepnet 1/2day straight on the dyno and here is what we found:

Plenum spacer showed no gains at all, and on this car running 93 octaine no noticeable reduction in spark knock (earlier tests showed some), so not really worth the $$ as far as price vs gains. We made a bunch of these and we did see reduced spark knock/timing pulled in earlier tests where the grade of fuel was not verified.

The 1" showed 1* F cooler (not enough to make a difference(, but 2-3 rwtq gains at the low rpm range.....but here was the shocker, 14 rwhp LOSS above 5800 RPM ( I will post graphs).....so even though the demand is great from another companies posts, we found driveability far better with the 3/8" original. Again, we made a bunch of these due to the demand, but the fitment of the higher position the IM sits and the small tq gains, this is not worth it either unless your set on it.

Again, a solid 20 plus rwhp & 25-28 rwtq from the 3/8" alone (with 93 octaine) is an unreal gain from the low price.

Interesting, this was tested out over on the Pontiac Forum as well. They reported crisper shifting patterns and better acceleration. Some where adding this, changing out the cams, adding CAI and modding the exhaust. Then doing the new tune that is out. They areclaiming that the spacer reduces intake air temps. All that said is this available for the 3.0 liter? Do you recommend changing to a CAI?

Available for several models of the GM V6, Reduces the IM temp30-33*F.

Yes, I would go with a CAI for sure.
