    Vararam DZ-6 Fitment

Talked to an engineer at Vararam yesterday about fitment of the V6 Camaro DZ-6 onto a CTS. Engineer was pretty certain we can get it to fit. Luckily, it's only about a 2 hour drive from Austin to Houston, so next week I'm driving over. We will document if we are successful so others can replicate.

    Stay tuned!

YES YES YES! Camaro guys are very happy with this intake, but I've been unable to talk myself into being the guinea pig for this one. Please update with your findings...

For those of us who are a bit slow on the uptake, what, please is the DZ-6? I picked up it may be an intake, but can you please enlighten some of us (me!). I always like to learn. Many thanks in advance.

I had one on my Vette and LOVED it! I hope we can make this work. Question is; what do I put in place of my stock air box? N2O? LOL

That appears to be a ram air intake system... Is there a ram air hood available for our cars? Because it seems to me one would be pretty useless without the other.

The ram air appears to be directly in front. Some kind of hood scoop would be in order.

    Re: Vararam DZ-6 Fitment

It looks like the 3.6 camaros have a scoop right where the air filter is... That would seem like an ideal setup for this type of intake unless there is something I'm missing...

It looks that way, but after talking with the engineer, the air is pulled lower through the grill and core.

    Re: Vararam DZ-6 Fitment

I had one on my 02 Z06 and took it off a week later. In my opinion the performance was no different and the worst thing was it looked like hell. The above pic looks horrible as well. It seems their theory is to dump a filter here and put some wavy plastic there and don't forget the logo sticker.

It did not whistle while on Vette but install was nowhere like above.
