    2015 CTS V vs @)!% HELLCAT

UH OH, What on earth is the V gonna do now that the BIG DOG been set loose ?

The Early 2009-13 CTS V stomped everyone on sight for about 4-5 years when it debuted. Question is does Caddy have what it takes to stay in the big leagues now that everyone else is waking up making the effort to stomp them....

800hp? The new Z06 isn't 800hp. GM isn't the brightest bulb but I doubt they are dumb enough to put out a V that will out perform their thoroughbred in the exact same year. Look for 6-650 is more realistic.

And that hellcat sounds like another American dyno princess like the Shelby cobra.

You never know, cadi might surprise haha, then again with a 800hp cts-v they'll probably over price it higher than the z06 haha

Well, they are building the Z/28 for $73k+ for actually Less performance than in the Corvette for $10k less (although it is supposedly a stud on the track). If I want fast 2+2 sports car in that price range, I'll take the CTS-V coupe, thank you. Too bad, that's going away.

Yea that z28 is a bad ass car, they said the z06 would be around 120k right? So the new V might be 80-100k

So I finally got to see the Hellcat in person.
The V is a high performance luxury sedan - something you can take to a black tie event and then to the track. The Dodge is a performance sedan - no doubt a monster ... but clearly not a luxury sedan in the same class as the V, the M5 or the AMG. There are lots of faster cars than the luxury sedans - but they are not in the same vehicle class.
The dealer offered me a fantastic trade for my V ... I just can't imagine stepping down from my Caddy to a Dodge.

Yes it is 800 HP but handles like a pig.. Google the first Hellcat in Colorado.. LOL!!!! The Guy totaled it in an hour when he took a turn not driving like an idiot the car got sideways then overcorrected and went head on into a tree.. Then theres the Hellcat that got beat by a Tesla P85 on the 1/4 Mile track cause the Hellcat spun the tires for a full 8th of a mile... Hellcat is a POS with 800 HP made for egomaniacs with small testicles and an oversized bank account! FWIW!

Agreed. The Hellcat is a great muscle car, period. The V is a high performance luxury vehicle. Two totally different type of cars.

Actually, it's 707 HP and probably a little underrated at that. The Hellcat is great for what it is, a point and shoot muscle car.

I owned a SRT Challenger before my first V and found it to be a pretty decent car. A powerful car, and comfortable enough for a middle aged guy like me. It just didn't check all the blocks like the V does.

I know a guy here in south flat who picked one up it teetered the 800 range, ( Im assuming D O T regs) and epa Stuff would be the reason.. Never the less like you said, Its all muscle but what good is Muscle when it can't be controlled. The suspension can't handle or keep up... Theres a lot of write-ups out there about this very issue.. its like dropping a 350 into a go cart on metal wheels with no tires on asphalt Little to no control if you even think about getting on it!

LOL! Nice analogy. But in all fairness, a Hellcat in the right hands will run a wicked fast 1/4 mile.

Yeah Fiat/Chrysler cheaped out after putting an awesome engine under the hood and giant brakes all around. They should have made room inside the wheel wells for fatter tires and improved the suspension.

Still, that's no excuse for the noobs who buy and wreck them.

It's still a Dodge. I would take my Caddy any day of the week. I will never need that much power.
