The easiest way is the white GoJo hand cleaner ( not the pumice variety) Slather it on the infested area, it stays on, sit down, have a beer. It starts to run down the panels and eats the bugs
Wash off with soap and water.

Double outstanding on "tar" very little " hand jive" required. Yes, I admit it probably strips wax.LOL

No matter which you use, you'll have to rewax the area after.

I just need them off, drove from Dallas to Nashville there and back foudn out the bugs get bigger in the country. Tried scrubbing the car once I got there with soap and water that just took care of the first layer of bugs. I need something to get the secodn and third layers off.

First, make sure you have a good layer of wax on your car at all times. With no wax it just makes it harder. So that's step one. If you use a good product the bugs will just come off fairly easy to start off with. I prefer products like Liquid Gold instead of wax. If applied properly it works and protects better and last longer than wax. Then I pre-soak the bugs, good layer of water, then apply sudsy water without scrubbing and let it sit, if it's warm and starts to dry keep it moist for 10 minutes. They should come off fairly easily at this point. I'm not a big fan of scrubbing or using harsh cleaners, just makes you damage paint or need a rewax. Patience and soapy water works better.

I like Turtle wax's product. It sprays on and kind of floats the bugs off. It leaves a waxed finish behind it too. I have been using it for over 10 years with great results. It's a pump sprayer and it's green and white (the plastic bottle). If you have a problem that that won't work with, then you have a real problem.

when I needed to clean bugs off the windshield of my cycle I would place a wet bath towel on the windshield for 15 - 30 minutes. Bugs wiped right off after that.

I am probably unusual about the products I use. That
Said I find 1/2 cup white vinegar in a wash
Bucket breaks down most road items like
Bugs and tar. Just use it in the wash bucket
With the car wash liquid you like. I use the hose to
Pre soak the car first. After the wash I clean
Out the bucket and use just 1/4 cup vinegar
To a full bucket and microfiber cloth. I wipe the
Car in sections with the cloth wet but well
Rung until the car is dry and clean.
Kinda sounds like a recipe but works
Beautifully. Then just spray wax or
    Detailer and all done.

On tough stuff 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover is good for adhesive residue, wax, grease, tree sap, dirt, road tar, oil and bugs and it is safe on auto paint, vinyl, fabric, ect.

The Turtle Wax Bug & Tar remover in the green spray bottle works pretty darn good and you do not have to wax afterwards.

Just getting the surface mist for a long period of time is what it takes. This makes for less elbow grease. This is why what 99flr mentioned "go have a beer", and Gerry1946 using towels to soak...that dwell time is the key to any liquid having time to soften the gooey mess for easy removal.

Personally, I will take 99flr's advice on this one!!!!

The towel method works great for bird crap that wont rinse off to but I prefer to soak the towel in warm water.

Re: Anyone know of a good bug remover product to wash the car with?

I will stick with the towel method because it softens and helps break up the dry bird crap so that it rinses off without wiping or having to use further contact on the paint with less chance of scratches.
I prefer anything that involve less contact with paint

Wet the area, sprinkle Baking Soda over the area, let sit a few minutes and then wipe away using liberal amount od water.
