Hey all first caddy and first post...I have a quick question to get to get my Bluetooth working. Will this module work in my 2009 cts? 2011 CADILLAC CTS-V COMMUNICATIONS MODULE with Bluetooth PN 22796947, I want to get one in just not sure what fits and what doesn't.
    Thanks!

    Re: Local vcim

    Yes, It should work (mostly).

I put the same module in my 2008 CTS so I could get bluetooth. The problem I ran into was with the antenna connections. There is one antenna for the Onstar cell signal and another for the GPS. The 2011 module only has one connection. Supposedly there is a diagnostic antenna connector that looks like a Y splitter that allows you to connect both antenna leads to the new module, but I haven't purchased one yet to confirm this. I just connected the Onstar cell antenna to mine for now, but the bluetooth/handsfree features still work perfectly.

I don't have an active Onstar subscription, but I did try to get the module "paired" to the car at the dealership so that Onstar would have the new module registered to the car, but was told that the technician could not complete the pairing (I suspect because of the antenna issue).

Ok cool, I dont really care about onstar at this point. Im all about the bluetooth for now. I just didnt want to shell out that kind of cash and not even the connecters are right. Ok im going to grab it and go for it. Next is key fobs. My car didnt come with any. uuugg
But loven my new to me caddy so far. Never owned one until now. Im on the both sides of the spectrum, I have a fully restored 87 vette and on the other slow me down lux car. Best of both worlds!

    Thanks mrcoupe2002

See the first post on this page

    http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...onstar-20.html

I would not deviate from this. I did the same thing you're trying to do, for a friend's 08 CTS. Got the VCIM off a 10 CTS.

    Go to car-part.com

Select the following: 2010, Cadillac cts, chassis control computer (not engine),
And leave the last two alone. Leave it at "all areas" and don't mess with the sorting. Put in your zip code. Press "search"

Select "Communication, (OnStar, opt UE1), voice recognition (opt UPF)" do not select the one that says "w/o voice recognition" press "search"

A list shows up. Some show part numbers. Many don't. Look on the far left and make sure it's coming from a 2010 CTS. if a part number doesn't show, you might have to call for one. They might not want to find the part number for you. Let them know you want to be sure you're getting the right part. Let them know the part number for the VCIM on a 2010 should be XXX and that if the VCIM they pull does in fact have that number, you WILL buy it.

If you don't get good results, go back and redo the search with 2009 instead. Results will populate cheapest at the bottom

    Good luck.

Oh and I wouldn't search for 2008s only because of the batch of faulty ones that came out. You don't know if you're ending up with one of those. Stick with 9 and 10.

That works but make sure it's the right part number. I found one real far away. Had them ship it. Sounds like a good excuse for a road trip with the kid though. Enjoy and good luck with the install.
