High mileage service recommendations AWD 3.6 2008

Any suggestions on what to service. All I've done is change the oil, always check oil level between service and change the tires...

I'm closing in on this light duty service CTS with 50k miles....

Do I change the transmission and differential fluids ?

Check the driveshaft to transmission couplings ? Etc?

My me...I mean my service tech.

Car runs great....one time as I was starting off at a light the car didn't move which was kind of weird...it moved much slower than I thought it should and it was but a brief moment in time....wife didn't even notice....but I did...other than that one time...the car drives perfect.

    Thanks in advance.

If you bought it new, follow the owners manual.
However, when I buy used... I change all the fluids, air filter, everything so I can ensure everything is done right and on time. I believe in synthetic fluids.

    JBsZ06,

Are you asking for ad hoc opinions, in lieu of GM/Cadillac's recommended maintenance schedule listed in the 2008 CTS Owner's Manual?
    Good luck, you'll need it.

This is what I do at 60K miles:
    - Replace Spark Plugs & Check wires
    - Replace hoses & belts & check belt tensioner pulley
    - Change air filter
    - Change cabin air filter
    - Flush radiator
    - Change brake fluid
    - Change power steering fluid
    - Change oil & filter (consider engine flush before dumping oil)
    - Change AT fluid & filter (complete change, not just pan)
    - Change diff(s) gear lube
    - Clean MAF & throttle body

High mileage? That isn't high mileage. My 2008 AWD 3.6 Di has over 151,000 miles on it! (Is this the record?) It's had the timing chain done at 100,000 and I just had the output shaft of the transmission and input shaft of the transfer case replaced. (stripped the splines) Other then fluid changes, plugs, etc. it has been great!

    Thanks guys,

Sounds like a fluid change for the differential and transmission at around 50k miles.

Change the air filter and I should be good to go.

The car definitely doesn't get hard usage....in fact it's very very light usage and that was really my question. The owners manual says under hard use.....(which the car doesn't get) my wife drives very gently. She loves the car.

I enjoy driving weekly on date nite and the cars Been trouble free ...
