Sounds and downshifts like a truck

I just purchased a pre-owned 2010 CTS, in Oct 2013. I drove it to Va. from Fla. (Jacksonville) it drove and sounded great, but know it sounds like a truck with a diesel engine when getting up to speed and downshifting. Any suggestions.

If sound is the problem, you might want to check the exhaust for leaks

    Hello bonesjones,

Congratulations on your recent purchase of your CTS! I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing these sounds when you are getting up to speed or downshifting. Have you had a chance to take your vehicle into a local Cadillac dealership so they try and diagnose the concern you are experiencing? If you would like any assistance in setting up an appointment with your dealership, please feel free to private message me or send me an email at socialmedia@gm.com with “ATTN GREG” in the subject line. I hope to hear from you soon.

If it is under warranty any dealer will work on it. Try Claude Nolan on Southside.

Sport mode should have nothing to do with the sound. It's not piped into the cabin like a Mustang.
