    High Pressure Washers...

According to GM Customer Care, my car has the following,

Y41 - LUXURY LIGHTING PACKAGE * XENON HID HEADLAMPS WITH HIGH PRESSURE WASHERS

Since I cannot see the nozzles/dimples for the washers (on the bumpers or anywhere near the headlamps), nor a switch for them, I take it this then refers to windscreen washers?

Sounds as if it is an export code. I'm sure you don't have that on your car as you can't see them there.

The HID lights have their own dedicated washers that are ports about 1" square below the headlights. The washer pokes out through the port and squirts washer fluid on the lights when the lights are turned on and windshield washers are activated. Start the car, turn on the headlights, activate the washers, and quick like a bunny rabbit run to the front of the car and watch the show.

Could you please do us a YouTube video of that "quick like a bunny rabbit" move?

Cool, I didn't think we could get them on our domestic cars. Never too late to learn.

    Thanks.

I look for the little ports...other cars I've had have had them as well - though, some have just the nozzles sticking out. Maybe I'm blind, but I couldn't see anything before...I'll look again.

    I imagine they're optional.
required by law in some european countries.

They're listed on the package I have have; I just can't see them.

    Update!

No headlamp washers even though the Package Y41 seems to suggest they're there!
There is only one pop-off piece of plastic in the bumper, and that's for the tow hook.

Also, looked at the Manual - it shows a picture of the washer nozzles - they're mounted on top of the bumper; I have nothing like that.

    The moral of the story?
Don't necessarily believe GM's Build Sheet for your car; it may list things you do not have.

BTW, unless you already know, the Manual can be accessed by going to...

I have them and I believe that I read somewhere they only activate every 5th time you use the windshield washer.

Turn on your low beams at any time and engage the windshield washers and the headlight washers should blast 3 times every 5th engagement of your windshield washers.
