My CTS turns six on November 17th. I'm still waiting for its first squeak or rattle to materialize. Maybe I'm lucky.
My 2009 with sport suspension and Eibach springs rides tight and quiet with 48,000 miles.
I did do the "rear deck rattle fix" myself though.
I had an '08 CTS-4 Premium Sedan that was built in November 2007 and it was rattle and squeak-free, with the exception of the driver's door armrest creaking (but I simply quit leaning on it!) My 2013 CTS Coupe Premium has been rattle and squeak free and the build "tightness" seems excellent. Maybe some of the cars are not built as well or else may have been neglected or abused by a previous owner?
As I wrote in the other thread (above) my 2013 is beginning to rattle but I can't put my finger on where it is coming from. My son's 2004 STS is quieter and more comfortable than my 2013 CTS.
Maybe you could have a passenger listen for it...the 2013s shouldn't have a noisy interior. Granted I've only driven one, but it was VERY quiet on a hot day.Originally Posted by mnmjack

Pump up the volume!
My wagon is quiet, and there is no trunk to "mask" any sounds either.
