    The Aisin Mystery

    Hello Everyone

I have a fairly simple, let elusive question than has proven unexpectedly difficult to find an answer for.

I am designing a project car and I just need to know the overall length (Bellhousing to driveshaft) and width of the Aisin Ay6 6-speed manual transmission.

Does anyone have these figures or know how to get it? I've looked all over the internet, from Toyota forums, Camaro forums, and even Subaru forums but to no avail. Another person on here has asked the very same question as I. However, his thread was hijacked before any answer could come to fruition.

Find a Toyota Tacoma 4wd w 6 spd on a dealer lot and go measure it ?

Should have enough ground clearance that you won`t even need a lift.

Fairly simple, eh? An impossible question from a total newbie.
If the requested info is that important (to the OP) I would pay attention to 99flhr's recommendation above.

OK, newbie only 23 years old and bumping in under 3 hours wondering why there is no answer. A forum isn't like when you text message your buddy who then stops doing what he's paid to do just to answer your question. Just sayin'

Can I assume that is the 6 that the CTS came with?
