    2008 cts stabilitrack off service break assist

    The dic says service break assist, stabilitrack off. What is this referring to? Is this due to break pad indicators? No other messages or problems with the car this just came on. Breaks work fine.....

    I would look in my owners manual. I'm sure there is something about it. Not near my manual right now or I would look.

    However, look under BRAKES not breaks!

    Most likely a code is set that relates to one of the sensors not communicating with the BCM. I would get it to a dealer as soon as you can.

    Oh yes brakes....I was in a hurry yesterday. I was thinking it was a speed sensor.

    Yes. It is related to a sensor on your caliper like C"T"ess said.

    This just happened to me, turned out to be bad wheel bearing.

    Yeah wheel bearing was bad in the left rear 595 parts and labor. They also said the right differential boot was leaking and it needs replaced too. To do that he said they would have to drop the rear suspension, might have to think about a trade in. This thing is getting expensive.I won't have this done now im going to wait.

    Anyone have any experiance replacing the rear wheel bearing? Does it take any special tools?
