So.... I just bought my 08 Cadillac cts, 56,000, beautiful red, I was loving it until .....yesterday it out rained for the first time since the purchase and the inside of the roof was all wet! Please help!! I checked it out by putting water down the drainage sides. The front ones were fine and the two back ones went down but then the wet spots came back from doing that. What could be wrong?

Take it back were you bought it; the drains are plugged and roof may need adjusting and now you have stains that will probably not clean up. Hopefully you bought it at a Cadillac dealer. I had the same problem and ended up with new rugs. Best of luck!

Thats the problem it wasn't from a Cadillac dealer. I am going to bring it back and talk with a manager because they may have known about this problem when selling it to me and didn't tell me. It was a bigger dealership here in MN but not Cadillac.

Welcome to the forum! Sorry to see you have a problem!

You didn't say how long you've owned it. That will make a difference when you demand a remedy.

Good Luck and let us know the resolution, Marv

don't demand, ask. You have a better chance of getting help. They may or may not have known about it before you bought it, either way you just want help resolving the problem. If they are a reputable dealer they'll help out as long as you don't go in there yelling and demanding.

Looked exactly like mines did. Turned out the sunroof frame was bad and had to be replaced. If you wouldn't mind could you keep us updated on what they tell you.

I'm happy they are helping you. I have to caution you about the dampness. If not done thoroughly mold will develop and not only will it smell its not healthy to breath.

    Best of luck,

    Joe

If it is a large dealership they should take the car to a dealer that sell that brand if they can't fix it. I bought mine the same way and they told me I could bring it to them for warranty repairs but they would then take it to a Cadillac dealer. Was told the same thing when I bought my Dodge 3500 there, which is what they did to fix a problem before I bought it.

    Re: Help...my sunroof! :(

My 08 had several sunroof issues. At dealership at least 4-5 times for repairs, (under waranty).
Water leaks turned out to be plugged rains. Using gentle compressed air (or bicycle pump or computer dust-off) unplugged them. I now rinse them with a squirt bottle occasionally. (Drain tubes are a bit too small). Air leaks wind noise was confirmed by covering seams with blue tape on outside of car. New center bar helped some but not enough. Main glass seals were too "loose" per manual (check with a feeler guage it should grip). Both pieces of glass had to get new rubber seals to solve wind noise. Guess what ? Replacement seals are redesigned and noticeably thicker, softer, and seal better. It's not just a case of "they are old and they dried out" or "they all do that" like my dealer said. GM is aware of it and the newer sunroof seals have been redesigned. And they don't "all do that"either. I had 2 brand new loaners, on with and one wothout a sunroof. They were both stone quiet and my 2008 sounded like there was a constant waterfall noise. Just be polite and persistent, while it's still under warranty. Afterwards, buy the new glass seals, they are better. The center bar thing is not really as important, it's a secondary seal.

There are ways to adjust your sunroof for a better fit if you are a DIY'er.

Mine was a plugged drain. All fixed do far. No issues yet... I will use his advice to keep it from getting clogged again, I hear not parking under trees helps?
