2010 CTS Wagon with NAV/Traffic ..question about Canadian Traffic Reporting

I had it briefly..is Canadian traffic reporting worth the fee?

It didn't appear to be real time

I live in the Toronto area near the airport.

    How accurate?

    Thanks
    Dave

My understanding is that it was very limited coverage, though that was probably 2 years ago now. How much are they asking? MK

$144 and tax for a year.

I don't know my way around Toronto. It might be worth it.

First, you might want to try it just because you are a Maple Leaf noob.

Second, you should be able to beat them down in price. For example, I paid $68 for my annual Sirius subscription.

What's $8 in the scheme of things?

I am up for renewal soon. What was your tactic to negotiate the price down? Did you do it entirely over the phone? Is the $68 all-inclusive for SiriusXM radio, or is that only for the traffic component?

Re: 2010 CTS Wagon with NAV/Traffic ..question about Canadian Traffic Reporting

Only the radio/music, no traffic. I did it entirely over the phone. I have been with them for at least 10 years of so, so that may help as well as the fact I have another subscription as well (lifetime, that I bought in 2006 and has proved to be a bargain). I told them I will just use Pandora and thank you very much. Their price is just too high. Maybe you can buy the traffic package and have them "throw in" the music side of it. Keep them talking and keep turning them down. "Work them" - they can make it happen to keep your business. The internet is free, and they know it. Pandora is one of your best tools. (or another service).

Admittedly sometimes I trip over a dollar to pick up a dime.
