    Exclamation Mic not respond

    Gentlmen,

    Hi, I face problem with my CTS 08 mic system it's not respond for me.
    such as hands free to activite bluetooth.

    kindly, do you have any troubleshoot for my problem?

    pl+ if you have another way to activite bluetooth please guid me.

    Welcome to the forum!

    Early 2008's did not have bluetooth capabilities. There are many threads here on this subject. do a search for 'bluetooth' and you will be amazed at the information here. You can also contact Cadillac Customer Service, give them your VIN and they can look up your car to verify if you have bluetooth.

    First of all, Thx for your quick respond.
    secound, it's realy very difficult to search regarding this topic "Nav features".
    I spent too much time to search but, I didn't find much helps.

    so please if u have any link about troubleshoot of mic & bluetooth put it here !

    nms, what tbbt said was that the 2008 that you own does not have bluetooth. that is why you can not hook up to bluetooth as it does not exist in your automobile.

    you and Mr. Tbbt might be right, but i notice that I have the button which is for this task.
    So i am not sure if it's need fix or inactive.

    I had Bluetooth in my 2008 CTS and used it every day with my cellphone.

    The following is from the 2011 Owner Manual, but the instructions for getting your phone to work with the audio system (called "pairing") are the same for the 2008 IF you have Bluetooth:

    Pairing

    A Bluetooth‐enabled cell phone
    must be paired to the in‐vehicle
    Bluetooth system first and then
    connected to the vehicle before it
    can be used. See the cell phone
    manufacturer's user guide for
    Bluetooth functions before pairing
    the cell phone. If a Bluetooth phone
    is not connected, calls will be made
    using OnStarŪ Hands‐Free Calling,
    if available. Refer to the OnStar
    Owner's Guide for more information.
    Pairing Information:

    . Up to five cell phones can be
    paired to the Bluetooth system.

    . The pairing process is disabled
    when the vehicle is moving.

    . Pairing only needs to be
    completed once, unless the
    pairing information on the cell
    phone changes or the cell phone
    is deleted from the system.

    . Only one paired cell phone can
    be connected to the Bluetooth
    system at a time.

    . If multiple paired cell phones
    are within range of the system,
    the system connects to the
    first available paired cell phone
    in the order that they were first
    paired to the system. To link to
    a different paired phone, see
    “Connecting to a Different
    Phone” later in this section.

    Pairing a Phone

    1. Press and hold the far right
    button on the steering wheel for
    two seconds. For vehicles
    with a navigation system say
    “Hands Free” after the tone.

    2. Say “Bluetooth.”

    3. Say “Pair.” The system responds
    with instructions and a four‐digit
    Personal Identification Number
    (PIN). The PIN will be used in
    Step 5.

    4. Start the pairing process on the
    cell phone that you want to pair.
    For help with this process, see
    your cell phone manufacturer's
    user guide.

    5. Locate the device named “Your
    Vehicle” in the list on the cell
    phone. Follow the instructions
    on the cell phone to enter the
    PIN that was provided in Step 3.

    are paired and connected to the

    I have an '08 and it has blue tooth. It's activated by the mute/voice recognition button on the right side of the steering wheel. Hold the button down and say "hands free". Follow the menu from there. You will eventually get a code to enter on your phone. Good luck
