I feel pretty dumb for posting this, but cannot figure out if my car has bluetooth or not. I have an 11 CTS 3.0 with no Nav, but I do have the hands free button on the right side of the steering wheel. It keeps wanting to connect me to OnStar calling, and when I say bluetooth commands it doesnt respond, so I am assuming I do not have it. But how can I tell for sure?
Look for RPO code UPF under spare tire cover for Bluetooth feature. Kinda thought after 2008 year, Bluetooth was standard but may be based on having radio RPOs U2S or UAV.
Sorry but t thats not any CTS radio I've ever seen. Can you get a better picture? In 2011 bluetooth was not standard on the base model. In 2012 it became standard on all models
Most newer vehicles have the option to pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the vehicle that can be used with the OnStar vehicle speakers. Check out this site for vehicle compatibility and pairing assistance, helps. http://bit.ly/18yTbLJ. I hope this helps!
I see that Jessica from OnStar has already answered your post and provided a beneficial link for you. If you provide me your VIN, I can verify that your vehicle is capable for Bluetooth pairing. Like Jessica sated, most newer vehicles do have that option. You can private message me if you would like to continue our interaction that way.
Let me send you the VIN. I have tried to say bluetooth commands but it isnt taking so I assume I dont. Its a 2011 Base 3.0. A little dissapointed because the dealer told me it had it. Joke is on me I guess
Yes, but you cannot order a new VCIM. (has to be a used one) It is plug and play but you have to remove the back seat and trim/rear deck to get to it on the 08s.
