a different sort of tpms issue

hi i've searched other threads looking for this issue but no luck. my tpms monitor came on and showed that my left front tire was not registering (two dashes). i did the relearn procedure and the problem went away. for a while. then it would come back, and go away, then come back again. now here is where it gets really interesting. one day it will show two dashes for the left front tire. next day lf tire shows 35 psi and 2 dashes for the right front tire... then on to another tire. it just keeps circling the car. the trouble code never goes away.

my car is out of warranty and i don't really want to spend the money on troubleshooting this issue. i always use a tire pressure gauge anyway.

    any ideas?

You may have to replace the batteries in the sensors. I believe they are rated for +/- 5 years. Any good tire shop i.e. Discount Tires has the kits.
