The operating range of my Home Link is very short. This is a 2012 Coupe. I just about have to get to the driveway before it will work. On my 2010 it was also short but not this bad. Has anyone figured a way to increase the operating range.

How long is your driveway? mine works from 200 ft away at the end of my driveway no problem

C "T" ess, maybe your Home Link unit is faulty, or something is affecting its transmitting range.

Every car I've had with the universal one seems awkward to program but you really have to follow the instructions carefully and make sure you hit the learn button on the garage door opener in the correct time and then it should work

Correct. It is time sensitive once you hit the LEARN button on the opener you have about 30 seconds to complete the steps. If you don't work fast you have to start over.

    Re: home link

My driveway is about 30' long and my opener is old enough that it does not have a learn button but the hand held remote works from at least 300' away. This continues to baffle me.

Could it be the HomeLink signal is being deflected up and away by the moat? hehehe

Found the learn button on the garage door opener - was behind the plastic cover. Now, I'm using my homelink for the first time!!
