Front end clicking while moderately braking

Hello, recently started having an issue. When coming to a stop iv been hearing a clicking noise at around 30 mph until stopped. It doesn't do it if I brake hard only lightly or moderate braking. It seems to brake fine but the noise is quite obvious. I took it to a shop and of course it stopped for the time he had it. 2008 cts4 3.6DI Anyone have any ideas or thoughts??

Did the shop check anything? Maybe caliber bolt/bolts loose. You do not say in your post where the noise is coming from... front, rear? When is the last time work was done on your car?

It's coming from what sounds like the front drivers side, and besides 2 new tires on the passenger side no other work had been done besides a new coil in cylinder 2

Does the clicking sound slow down as the car slows down, ie as tire rotation slows the clicking slows?

are there other symptoms like pulsing in the break peddle or the steering wheel? if so it could be a warped rotor, if not then you might check the wheel bering, the creaking sound you described makes me think wheel bering but if its an all wheel drive car then it could be part of the drive train. start with easiest and cheapest to fix.

Just had the front diff replaced 2 months ago, but I'll have my mechanic check the whole assembly. There is a slight pulse in the peddle. As I said it didn't make the noise when I dropped it off last time of course lol
