weird vibration on 2nd-3rd gear shift

Under light engine load its a very faint vibration, kind of sounds like its the torque converter. But on heavy load something bangs under the arm rest for a good 5 or 6 taps. Anyone ever experience this before?

Not sure if it is the same thing, but under hard acceleration from 55 and up I would get a knock under my armrest. It wasn't a heavy knock, but was definitely not right. Dealership said there was an issue with my driveshaft and replaced it under warranty. This was on a 2008 CTS4.

I bought mine a few weeks ago and the dealer said it has 5yr 100K mile powertrain warranty. You can find the build date sticker around the driver's door. Hopefully, your issue will be covered.
