    Replacement Wiper Blades

    Hi everyone,

It is time to finally replace my OEM wiper blades and was interested in opinions on what you have tried that works well. In the past, some replacements change the appearance and many have developed annoying squeaks quickly. Recommendations?

I have been using Bosch Icon since they came out. They do look a little different but in a good way to me. They work great also

    Hi BobbyandRyan,

Itís hard to beat the performance and longevity of either the OEMs
or the equally-excellent Bosch ICONs which Iíve used for the past three years.

What I did was bought some wipers from Costco can't remember on the brand I believe Goodyear they were on sale at the time buy one get one free which was about 9$ too good to pass up if u ask me kinda had an idea that they would look horrible what I did was simply took them apart and took the blade off the frame along with the 2 steel strips to.keep it firm and took apart the stock wipers and swapped out the blades took a little bit of time but kept the stock look but functions like a new blade because it is and wasn't too.much work

If you're car is still under warranty, they will replace them at no charge.

For 2008-09-10 model years, prior to Cadillac Premium Care Maintenance (2011+), "wiper inserts are covered only when the replacement is the result of defect in material or workmanslhip."

I would only go with OEM. I changed mine at 2 years with OEM and have no regrets - Note: the OEMs have some aerodynamics in their design where a non-OEM may not.

I guess it depends on your service advisor, because when I had a 2010 CTS, I told them that my wipers were starting to streak and they replaced them at no charge.

I have been unable to find the Bosch ICON OE series at my local auto parts retailers. This includes Auto Zone, NAPA and Advanced Auto parts. Any suggestions or recommendations on a retail chain that handles these would be appreciated.

The Michelin wiper blades are the same design as the GM/Delco's except they dont have the fancy air deflector flap that snaps over and hides the end of the wiper arm.

    Re: Replacement Wiper Blades

Anyone else notice the mark made by the wipers at the top stop point on the windshield? I dont seem to recall seeing this until the car is several years old after years of use. I noticed it on my coupe after a few months. Not a big deal but definitely noticeable and when you clean windows you can see the impression mark. Know what I mean?
