    Caliper specs

I have a 2009 CTS and am replacing the front brake pads, does anyone know the thickness specs for the front rotors?

    Thanks.

If you have a non-CTS-V the minimum discard thickness should be 28.5mm. If you have OEM rotors on your car, MIN THICKNESS xxMM should be part of the rotor casting, cast into one rotor cheek in between the veins, with one letter per vein.

If you are replacing the pads, I would suggest replace the rotors. These are heavier vehicles with a fair amount HP with pretty strong braking. I gave up resurfacing rotors years ago. With all the cycles of wear and heat fatigue etc. its not worth keeping them. Either go with OEM or use some of the higher quality rotors out there like those from Raybestos etc.
