Cloth seats. I've never seen cloth seats in a CTS.

I haven't seen cloth seats either. Thought it was leatherette for the base model and genuine leather for the rest.

I'll have to check their site to see what's available... I'm picky and want the power adjustments along with the heated and cooled options.

I would hazard to guess you will be wasting your time if you want power and heated/cooled.

we had a 2010 wagon -loved it - hated the seats ... spoke directly with Recaro -informed us we could not get the wagon 'after market' fitted with their seats because required 'harnesses' for the Recaros could only be installed at time of assembly at the plant. Course our dealer wouldn't attemp to install them either. sold the car. (please don't write asking if we test-drove the car )

    O.K. since you insist:
we drove a sedan to see how we liked the CTS. The agency had no wagons and that's what we wanted ;..gave white-flag to transfer a wagon to agency after being told ''oh they're the same car' ...only one is a sedan, one a wagon'' .... So we signed for the ''same car'' (wagon) and drove off into the sunset.
However, at that time we didn't know there could be a difference in seat 'hardness' between the heated/cooled (that the wagon had) vs non-heated cooled option and that not 'all' CTS's were the 'same' !
Since we had no issue with the test- 'sedan' seats' we are now assuming the tested-sedan did not have the heated/cooled option, thus more 'comfort' and we thought we're getting the same 'comfort' in the wagon ........sadly, but too late, we've become more 'educated'.

    you know the ending ....

    Showgirl,

What is the "harness" you refer to? Something electrical? What about a track for the seat? Anything else that they recommended?

Sorry I can't help you - don't know 'details' ...they didn't 'explain' 'why' (except mentioning ''harness' ) but it was a 'blatent' NO-CAN'T BE RETRO'ED... heard that from agency & Recaro directly - didn't pursue anything further. Best of luck tho.

I have an 08 cts4 with fe2 suspension and heated but not cooled seat and a 09 suburban ltz. The seat in the truck are comfier than my couch at home and perfect for long drive (4h +). But the sportiness of the ones in the caddy cant be beat when cornering or just when stepping on the gas pedal!

Before complaining, try to take a fast curve on your couch and then we' ll talk! !!!

Hope you enjoy the rest of the car!

Agree. I drive from MIA to PA four times a year with no problems. Take your Geritol and enjoy the ride!

    Yes! Well said!

"Sofa seating" should be standard (basic options) for the occasional driver ... but please do not try to impose it on the rest of us!

.....loose the Yanks hat and replace it with a World Champion SF Giants hat!
You'll be much more comfortable (and look much better).
