Reassembly is almost the reverse of disassembly.

I like to connect the two lock rods first. Make sure you don’t “trap” the 3rd rod behind the latch.
Push the electrical connector on, WHILE pushing the red/burgundy lock clip back in.
Attach the latch to the door with the two torx screws.
THEN you can attach the 3rd rod by closing the yellow clip. You need to do this connection AFTER attaching the latch to the door.
Push the cable thru the plastic inner cover and connect the yellow clip to the door.
Connect the cable to the door panel / door handle.
Now you need to be careful and gentle. There are two long, white alignment pins on the door panel. I managed to break one of them, and I broke the plastic trim around the inside door lock button.
Hook the door panel over the door lock button and the window ledge.
Gently align the two alignment pins in their holes, then firmly press the door panel to the door on the 8-9 clips.
Now you can actually test your door lock and latch.
Install the three Phillips head screws, and the two covers.
Well, that will never get you a job writing manuals for GM. You simply state reassembly is the reverse of disassembly and the customer is on his own.

    Seriously, very nice writeup.

Are you kidding me? It is most probably exactly what GM has spec'd for their Technical Writers!

Re: Investigated Door Lock Actuator for Repair/Fix

Question? Im also having door lock issues. I have keyless entry and the door I am having trouble with is the drivers passenger. Sometimes I cant unlock the drivers passenger door, either with the keyless entry or with the unlock button on the drivers door or the drivers door handle. Is my problem with the drivers door lock actuator or the drivers passenger door lock actuator? Thx

Re: Investigated Door Lock Actuator for Repair/Fix

If a door will not lock/unlock with the remotes or the inside switch, and the other doors lock/unlock normally, I'd say that chances are it's the lock/latch in the non-functioning doors.

I would have to unlock and lock my door with the key. The door would not automatically lock when driving. You could lock and unlock using the manual knob near the window.

I suspect this is a fairly common problem for the CTS, because there are several part numbers and there are a bunch of used lock/latches available on Ebay.

Sorry if this has been asked but in my 09 cts4 both front doors will not open unless you stick the actual key in, turn it and then pull on the door. Is this the fix for that? Anyone got part numbers for both sides?

Look on any parts site. GMpartsdirect or rockauto or call Chris at Rippy Cadillac - you can find his number on the right hand side of this Forum as they are supporters of this site.

I have no clue. You asked for part numbers so I tried to help. Gm parts direct has exploded view diagrams if you can drill down to the correct parts.
