Let me know when you are planning on doing a write up, Im sure people would be willing to pay for one once you are done. Do you have some pictures of when you were taking things apart? That would be interesting to see!
    I agree!

Anyone that might be interested. I'm selling off all my navigation parts. Looks like I might be trading my car in for the new XTS. All out of a 2011 cts wagon, pop up screen, radio bezel and navigation unit. I have also bought brand new and will include is the $300 cable that connects the screen and the nav unit, acdelco oem gps antenna, oem rear view camera, the 20 pin connector with 20 oem pins to make your own harness and the PAC audio NU-cts2 nav unlock module. I'm looking to cover what I have into everything at $1500 shipped. Please email me at rdecrane5@aol.com or call me at my shop at 813-849-1104 if you are interested or have any questions.

Ok finally got voice commands, voice recognition and also Bluetooth working. The door chimes and signals working also. USB, aux and iPhone works with wire I bought from dealer for $45. I bought a cheAp one from eBay and it didn't work. All controls works. It was a lot of work. I will be hard to do a DIY becAuse I did so much work. I don't even want to undo anything. I still have one issue and that is the bass. I had to turn the bass down because rear sub cannot handle the new amp. The sound is clear And no more popping sound. I think I might do a YouTube video of everything work and try to show what I have done.

it is the ipod/iphone cable, not the USB wiring. i showed a pic of that USB wiring in earlier post before I installed it.

Oh, you bought the GM iPhone/iPod cable. I already got that covered.

Looks like I might end up keeping the cts for a little longer so I'm going to go ahead with the conversion but I'm having trouble spending $100 on the center console harness with the USB cable in it.

I would love to see that. Great work man.
With the sub issue, have you looked into getting a sub that came with the 10 speaker set?

I was thinking to do that but I didn't want to spend any more money if I didn't have to. I would like to know if the subs are different. I don't want to waste money and do all that extra work.

    ----------

Can anyone tell me if the 8 speak sub different from the 10 speaker sub?

Re: Successful navigation swap into a non Nav CTS

hey so I am going to start doing this swap as well but I am going to need your help rudeboyspi.
I found the radio faceplate, screen, screen motor for 300.. its on its way. I am on the way to purchase a receiver and gps antenna. I found an amp from cts-v that has pig tails.

I know you guys were talking about to get the most complete package with wiring and harnesses already there. I was able to find a wiring harness from cts-v but I am not sure if this is the correct one. Its listed on ebay. Do you think its worth getting? Theres two of them listed:

The first link is the one you want. Please keep in mind that it takes a lot of work. Let know when you need help. Please don't start cutting wires off the harness. I did that and had to splice them back later. Lol. You have to get the hdd unlock. The unlocked on eBay is listed in the post.

    ----------

    They both should work

Haha thanks for the heads up. Yah I know but I bet you are pretty happy with everything you have done. Im sure it was worth the headache. I will be collecting all the things I need. I am still looking for cheap head unit on ebay but right now they are really expensive. Ill get that harness though in the mean time and a ac delco gps antenna was listed on ebay as well.

I will keep ya posted. Hopefully I can figure that sub issue out. A salvage yard emailed back here in toronto. They have a cts with 10 speaker set. They will get back to be monday regarding the price. I wonder if putting in my amp/sub would eliminate the sound issue from the sub.

What is your sub exactly doing?
