I am loving it. I don't need the lock pick. It cost like $250. I dont need that. I might do the backup camera retrofit.

    Haha true not worth it.

Rudeboyspi --> behind the actuator there are spots for two cables. One is for the blue COAX cable and then there is a connector. The second grey connector... do you know which part goes into that? Do you have part number for it possibly??

Sorry but you lost me. Rcmunir are you talking about the display screen or the hdd?, if you are talking about the display screen then the blue is for video from the hdd, the grey is for the screen to go up and down.

I have been following this for a while, planning to do the swap for a customer of mine. Plans fell through and now I'm looking to sell the parts we have.
Anyone interested? Here is a link to the eBay ad....

I was talking about the screen. Yes the blue is for the cable which i got. What about the grey and black one? Do you have to make your own harness for that??

The grey is the power for the screen to go up and with the button and auto when the car starts. The black is for power for the screen to light up/dim. I got the original wiring. I had to do some customizing. Please get a gm Manuel it helps a lot to build the harness.

Do you have a gm manual you can recommend? Where did you get yours from?

I got my new sub for the rear deck. Remember that mine keeps getting poppin sound after the nav and amp install. I bought a new sub and connect it and no more poppin sounds with full volume. I will post the after the full install. I bought a aftermarket speak/sub to replace the paper one from factory.

    rudeboyspi,

Do you have the part # for the 08 CTS USB full harness? I'm looking at upgrading my base radio to the non-navi with USB port and I'll need that harness. Do you think that would be the only part I would need to add (other than the head unit of course)?

That should be all you need. Sorry but I don't know the part numbers.

swap under way.... will take a while. Waiting for another harness to come in from the states. I ended up going with a shop to install it. Hamilton 2-20120727-00361.jpg

How did the swap go? I might put up a YouTube video. The problem is that will take a lot of work.
