Current sheet metal looks better IMHO. I'm not sure I'd like the front lights as they are teasingly rendered here. I like the "hidden" door handle on my Coupe and would think going back to an old school handle is a mistake. Window/roof line is not as sleek as current and the rear sticks out too far. Not as "agressive" in styling - flares, etc. - as current. Of course this is only my opinion. My opinion is only good for determining whether I will buy the car nor not (Likely not if this is reality.)

Too much Chrysler 300 front end, I agree with the door handles, take them off, the rear end was toned down too much. Just my 2cents.

Excessive rear overhang is ruining the design imo. If the car were shortenned somehow with less junk in the trunk it would have potential

    No. Just, no.

The current coupe looks far better than this rendering.

Re: Third Generation CTS Coupe (artwork)

Honestly, I'm somewhat ok with it. Completely agree that putting back regular door handles is a step backwards though, and I see the Photoshop design as more of a rough draft. If the final CTS Coupe came out looking exactly like that, I'd say the current model still looks better. But horrid? No... not really. Probably need a little tweaking (such as a bit more work on the front-end, and arguably a bit shorter in the rear-end) -- but I view this as "a good start, and better than I was envisioning they'd wind up with on the ATS chassis."

Here are a few touch ups I made

The headlights are closer to the ATS and less like the ciel concept. Also reduced the rear of the car. I realize this means alot less trunk space and back seat but that first design was just WAY too long in the rear imo

Better but still not as good looking as the current Coupe.

I'd say either lower the belt-line or raise the greenhouse; more and more cars are next to impossible to see out of these days.

Re: Third Generation CTS Coupe (artwork)

This has some difinite possibilities. The first rendering has too much rear over hand and the second has too little. Not crazy about the head lights up the fender, but this appears to be a future trend based on the ATS. The over all profile appears to be more flowing than the current coupe with its chopped off back end (one of my hangups about the present coupe). However, I don't want Caddy to build a luxury boat similar to the E class coupe, it just doesn't look sporty enough. Once again I'll reiterate what most have said in this forum. This is strictly a rendering and only my opinion. Let's hope there is a next generation coupe for us to decide on.
