We just got an 09 CTS and love it but are having some problems with bluetooth and audio. It doesn't happen all the time, but occasionally when making a call or accepting a call, the audio stops functioning. Visually, it appears everything is working, but I can't hear the person on the line. I do believe that they can hear me, though. Also, it then affects the radio function. Even after ending the call, the audio then won't work for the radio. Again, it shows the station and the volume increasing/decreasing, but there is no sound. It usually stays like this for a while and then will begin working again. Pretty frustrating problem. I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow but am somewhat concerned they won't be able to find a solution. So, I was wondering if anyone has experienced similar problems? Thanks a lot
ok, so now i am thinking it is not the bluetooth that is causing the problem. after clarifying with my wife, she said that the audio is the problem. on several occasions, she will turn on the radio, and there is absolutely no audio. The display shows the station, but no audio comes through the speakers. Then, she attempted to make a call via bluetooth, but again no sound from the speakers. It showed the phone as if a call was being made, but no sound. most of the time, though, the audio works just fine. it's pretty much on and off again. The dealer said they will look at it but didn't give me much confidence in that they'll find a fix. so, is there a loose connection do you think? a fuse, amp? also, on one occasion the passenger front door wouldn't open after the car was shut off and the key out of ignition. and then all of a sudden it unlocked. could this be connected to the same problem? i really want to get this fixed fast...thanks for your help!
dealership called today and said they could not get it to duplicate the problem. so i found a post where someone had a very similar problem and they removed the carpet in the trunk and looked at the amp there. so i guess i'm going to try and take a look there.
