2010 CTS tire pressure system question

I recently purchased a set of Blizzaks along with a set of wheels for winter use on my CTS. When I purchased the tires/wheels I did not opt for the sensors. I put the rims/tires on tonight and to my surprise I did not get a tire system light. Actually they are all reading 31psi- but I do not think the new wheels have senors (at least according to my Tire Rack invoice).

    Does this sound right?

    Thanks,
    Dan

Where did you put your summer wheels? It's definitely not reading from the winter wheels unless you have sensors and have performed the TPMS relearn procedure.

The sensors are located in my garage. I drove the car about 2 miles from my house and no light ! Its strange that they all read 31 psi. I know the snows are inflated to 34psi.

Re: 2010 CTS tire pressure system question

I drove about 5 miles from my house on my winter wheels (which do have sensors, but I had not programmed them yet) and they were still picking up the sensors from the wheels in my garage. It is quite a range they have. Which is great if you track your car with different wheels and don't want to lose competitive mode.
