    New Owner, 2010 CTS Performance

Hey everyone! I just found these forums and signed up immediately! Been a Cadillac lover since I was a kid riding around in my mom's 96 deville and finally own a caddy myself! As a noobie to Cadillacs I have somewhat of a dumb question, I have tried to look in the owners manual but can't seem to find the answer I am looking for, whenever I am parked and the feature that unlocks the driver door activates to let me out, I always have to remind my passenger to unlock their door themselves because their door doesn't automatically unlock and I was wondering if there is a way to unlock all the doors when I park the car instead of just the driver's door?

Re: New Owner, 2010 CTS Performance

Sounds like your car's "Auto unlock" option is set to "Driver Only At Off". See page 4-52 of the 2010 CTS owner's manual:

    Auto Door Unlock
This feature allows you to select
whether or not the door(s) will
    automatically unlock. It also allows
you to select which doors and when
    they will automatically unlock. See
    Automatic Door Locks on
    page 1‑15 for more information.
    Press the customization button until
Auto Door Unlock appears on the
    DIC display. Press the set/reset
button once to access the settings
for this feature. Then press the
    menu up/down button to scroll
    through the following settings:
Off: None of the doors will
    automatically unlock.
Driver Only At Off: Only the
driver's door will unlock when the
    ignition is turned off.
All At Off (default on Manual
Transmission): All of the doors will
    unlock when the ignition is
    turned off.
All In Park (default on Automatic
    Transmission) (Automatic
    Transmission Only): All of the
doors will unlock when the vehicle is
    shifted into P (Park).
No Change: No change will be
made to this feature. The current
    setting will remain.

    Gemoteusz,
Okocha66 is correct. Let us know how this works out for you and if this is the setting that you want.

Re: New Owner, 2010 CTS Performance

One Issue I have is the driver pre-sets (seats/steering) return to the driver position when the door is opened not when the key/ignition switch is turned on as was with my previous 300C. This makes entry a bit more of a challenge. I also have a 2010 premium edition. Has that been redesigned in subsequent model years and if it has, can my vehicle be re-flashed?
