    Carpet around center console

I just noticed that the molded carpet panel that comes up from the floor to the center console on my drivers side, has come a bit seperated from the center console.

the passenger side is fine, but if i pull back the drivers side a bit i can see all down into the car.

it doesnt look there there are any clips or mounts, that it is just molded to the right shape.

has anyone seen this before? is there a way to push it back in and have it stay? i was thinking maybe heat it up with a heat gun and then leave something there too keep it in place while it cools?

im kind of at a loss here since i cant find a single clip or mounting point

The carpet is molded to stay in place and so there are no clips. If it's lost its shape you might want to use clear silicone so that if you ever need to separate the carpet from the tunnel, you can do so.

i dont think silicon would be strong enough really. its got a decent bit of spring to it.

also i dont think there is a good surface on the inside of the tunnel to glue to

That's weird. Mine in my 2009 is molded with a lip that fits under the console. Can you take a picture?

I had the same problem on my 08, it was so bad that it was warped out almost right next to the gas pedal, i tried velcro, that wont even hold it, i eventually used 2 black screws and screwed it into the center console area without hitting any wires, and that seems to be a crappy fix for the crappy problem
