Just an Update.. Spoke with Coastal Again about the CTS Lockpick they have been working on and now told maybe a few more months. So if you have a CTS I am sorry but the PAC unit is still all we can supply you still.

Only notable thing is, I have to follow their usage instructions for a "V", since I have a heated steering wheel button where they say a "SRC" button can be found to press to enable it. I use the up-arrow button for the power mirror.
    Any tipvs on intsall

PAC updated their compatibility guide and added support for the 2012 CTS. No change from the 2011's on the new model CTS. We sold two last week to 2012 users and one already installed and confirmed it is working perfect. Still no news from Coastal on getting their CTS model finally re-released.

OK - I am going to ask a really dumb question - what does the lockpick do? I see that I can view video - could this be a way to get a rear view camera to work? What about other features? I have the NAV but I really haven't used it because I commute such a short distance, and use a rental car for long business trips. What is the enhancement to the NAV? I look at the website, but maybe I am confused or just thick?

I'm jealous...haven't purchased one yet. Was it $200 for the unit?

Thanks, I will end up purchasing it there.

Did you use any special tools to remove the wood trim?

Thank you...I do have one more question. Would the lockpick void my warranty in any way if the NAV needs to be repaired? My guess is that I would have to remove it prior to servicing something like that. I'm gonna purchase it next week either way but would be nice to know...

I installed one back in 08 and I chippd the wood trim as I attempted to pry it off. If you call an audio shop they will probably charge around $50 to install. The replacement trim was $90 4 years ago. I would recommend having a pro install only for the reason they are responsible if something breaks.

Overall install is very easy, just expensive is something goes wrong.

Lockpicks do not change or modify anything in your vehicle. If you ever have a problem with your nav just disconnect it and they will never know. There wont be any warranty issues.

The PAC unit requires cutting one wire. Depending on where/how you cut it the dealer might see it. The unit won't directly affect the nav or radio though.
