How much would you offer for this "used" 09 CTS?

Here are the details (the boardhost does not yet allow me to post a link):

    09 CTS, DI, Manual transmission
550 miles as a GM Executive Demo
PDQ Package, Seating package, Mega sunroof, wood trim package, all season tires (good for midatlantic winters!)
    6 year/100k warranty

Currently advertised at $38.5k. I was thinking about calling and offering them $30k, just to see if they will deal.

    Thanks for your opinions.
    Chris

All season tires aren't going to help THAT much. I'm in the Midwest and talked with my rep before I bought my CTS4 and he said if you are going to buy this car get it with the CTS4 or don't bother driving it in the winter. I would say 34k FIRM they take it or leave it.

You can theoretically get the same new car for the same price as a demo. Dealer will attempt to sell demo for no less than he paid. Dealer will sell any car for no less than he paid. With market like it is, you should be able to get brand new car at cost, and you keep rebates.

I know they would be able to come off the price at least 4k but I highly doubt they are willing to come off 8.5k. Keep in mind the "certified" cars come with two extra years of warranty and that price is figured into the price that costs 1k dealer cost. I would go with the other person ask for 5k and see if they are willing to bite.

$5K seems excesive. Let them keep the lights on, man. If you feel it's a fair deal and it's practically a win-win. Be happy about the CTS, it's worth far more than underpaying it's "value"...

My rear wheel drive CTS was just fine in last winters snow. It was one of the worst winters in memory and I never got stuck.

Didn't have the CTS then, but my BMW 540iAS was fine in the snow.

Back in the day we drove in the snow all the time with RWD - cars didn't have AWD then and there was no such animal as an SUV..... My My - how did we survive. And no cell phones or PDAs or PCs either. Man, we were deprived!

Too update everyone, the dealer had 3 of these, and sold 2 of them after listing them on ebay. I missed out on the 2 I wanted and at this point might be getting another one, that is new.
These were june build 09's. They sold for 36.8k-38k for the black and silver one.
they still might have a gold/cashmere one available as well if anyone is interested.
current sticker on a new one like these is right at 49k. Red tax and 2k rebate gets you to 43k and change. So they were quite a good deal for whoever bought them.
