My question is simple.. can you add a factory nav to a cadillac cts 2011 if it does not come w one? If the answer is no! Can you add a aftermarket nav to fit right where the factory nav is suppose to be?
Something that only going to control the navigation and the music
Yes, some have added Navigation, but at high cost and tons of labor. Do a search and find out the details.
I can only speak of my 2013 ATS, but I added Nav to it a few weeks ago. I replaced my HMI module (ordered it preporgrammed) and added a gps antenna. It took me 45 minutes and would probably take me half that now that I've done it once.*
My OPINION. don't bother. I have the nav,Bose and HD and never use it.
The Bose system is very good but not outstanding. I think you could do better with a custom install.
The nav works well but it must be updated and I really don't like how it works compared to google maps. I never use it unless I can't get cell signal and that is very rare.
The HD is useless and I just put all my music on a thumb drive and leave it in the car.
I think you would have way more fun spending the money on a custom install and building something that really rocks. I saw a string that showed a custom install without a pop up screen. IMO that's they way to go. But that's just me.
