    Saving money on XM Radio?

I have a friend that purchased a new Buick Enclave about a month before I bought my new CTS. He let the XM radio 90 Day free trial expire and then in a few days got a call from XM stating that they could offer him a one time 3 mos offer for 14.95 or one year for 77.00. Has anyone with a CTS received this type of an offer from XM? I would guess that our offer would be more than 77.00 if you also wanted the live traffic updates.

Not yet, but I'm hoping for that kind of offer. XM sent me an offer in the mail and I believe they wanted something like $50 per quarter ($200 per year) for XM with weather and traffic. I guess since there's no way to use another service (i.e. no competition), they feel they can charge quite the premium. I'll likely wait until it expires to see what they come up with.

I would hope for a better offer.
With the Caddy, we have multiple sources. I didn't have XM before, it won't bother me to not have XM again......

Expired 1/17 and have not hear from them. I think it's $39.95 a quarter.

Yes, I did. They even called to try and get me to sign up. It takes them about a month after it lapses to call you.

Thanks for the info. Please let us know how it works out. I think mine runs out the 28th. Maybe I will call and ask for the $77 deal. Anybody else with a CTS get this kind of offer?

Re: Saving money on XM Radio?

My salesman told me to call XM and let them know I have a brand new GM vehicle with the 90 day free trial, and I am interested in hearing any offers they may have. So I did, and they offered me a year after my trial for $65 plus tax. So I signed up.

Just looked at my bill - it's $50.82 per quarter for XM with NavTraffic.

I kept holding out after the free trial ended. They always come up with something cheaper to hook you back in.

XM has worked with me several times-twice I got the $77 a year deal and for my son's car I got a $32 - 6 month deal. Once I said I was go to cancel and the girl said OK sir, I called back got another girl, she passed me on to her supervisor and he gave me the $77 deal - keep trying.

Re: Saving money on XM Radio?

My XM radio went out today (90 day trial period). I hope to call XM tomorrow and try for the $77 renewal + the cost for Traffic. I will let you know how I make out.

Has anyone else with the CTS had experience with the $77 renewal? If so, let us know how you did it!
