Put in LED DRLs and fogs

    Before DRL

    Before fog light

    After LED DRLs

After LED fog and DRL (hard to tell difference in fogs because the first fog shot was in the garage where it is dark and second was outside)

Let me know what you guys think! It was a pretty quick (30 minute project) and easy to do install that I think makes a big difference.

What bulbs did you use for the fogs and was it a pain to get the fog bulbs out?

No it wasnt a pain at all just a simple clip once they were exposed. Like i said the whole install took about 30 minutes thats the fogs and DRLS.
I used a super white LED H11 bulb with the equivalence of a 5.9k HID bulb.

Re: Put in LED DRLs and fogs

Im not sure if you can from just under the car I took off the whole bumper to remove the headlight housings since I was switching out the DRL OEMs with LEDS.
You may be able to get to it from the bottom if you take the 6 clips holding the bottom of the bumper to the car off.
To take off the whole bumper really isnt as hard as it seems 6 clips under the bumper
2 clips and a 10mm bolt on the inside of the fender next to the tires
the 6 clips on top of the weather stripping
2 clips and 2 bolts holding the bumper to the radiator housing. Thats it.

I did paint the front grill grey areas to black so it matches the black paint of the car.

Where in VA are you? Interested in possibly getting together with a fellow CTS owner and helping with some bulb swaps?

Any areas to tape and protect when removing and installing the cover and is it a two man job? Thanks.

I live in Roanoke VA and I could most certainly help you if need be!

No need to tape anything off when removing the bumper to swap the lights. I would set the bumper on something light to keep it from getting scratched up or anything. If you are talking about painting the calipers then yes you need to tape off quite a bit of stuff. Its a one man job to remove, but it may be beneficial to have someone help you put it back on when it comes to holding the bumper in place and putting the bolts in place.

Re: Put in LED DRLs and fogs

Any picture of the 10mm bolt in the wheel well to remove? I couldn't find it when I went to swap my DRLs.

I like all your mods, but be wary that blue (or red) lights on a vehicle front are illegal. Its limited to emergency vehicles. Hopefully you won't be harassed.
