    E&G grilles

Just checking to see how many people on here have done the upper and lower grille swap to the E&G and how involved it is on a 2010. Trying to decide between the heavy mesh and dual weave. Any opinions on either one? Thanks

I will be in the future.... Probably the tight weave on mine as I am not really after look, but the added protection afforded to the AC evaporator coil and radiator from rock hits.

I've got a single weave, black-ice top and lower on my 3.6L. I love it. It's far better than the stock grille. It's probably the easiest way to make an impact on the appearance of your CTS.

    Here's mine.

Disco - that is just the look I want to get. I have a 2011 Black CTS and have started to look at the E&G grills. Could you tell me the exact part # or full description of the one you got? I see a few Back Ice versions on their site.

I found your other post with the pictures and explanation of the differences in the grilles....I will check that out......Txs for sharing all that.

Hey clownin. I've got the chrome E&G heavy mesh on my CTS. I had the dealer install it when I purchased the car but it looks like a pretty manageable DIY project. Search for V bumper install & you'll see how to get the bumper & grille off

Yea that looks good.. I downloaded the e&g installation guide and it's a whole bunch of steps and just not sure if it just looks more intense than it really is!

It is time consuming. If you have never done it allot 3-4 hours.

I have the E&G Sport Black Ice Fine mesh and had a custom shop do the install, took them about 3 hours and charged me $200.

    Re: E&G grilles

There is no denying that all the aftermarket mesh grilles shown look great. However, a part of me feels that after 73 years, the egg crate grille has become a styling cue (or iconic continuation) of Cadillac design language. After all, CTS tail lights are an homage to tailfins. JMO. YMMV.

I did the chrome dual weave mesh, upper and lower. You have to remove the whole front bumper. It was worth the effort. Took a few hours, but I did it...and I'm a girl
