    2010 CTS grill replacement

Hi, just joined the forum. Just got a 2010 CTS sedan and had pulled too far forward in my garage and had my sons skateboard mess up my grill. Ouch.. so mad at myself. Anyway, does anyone know if the whole bumper cover has to come off to replace the grill? Or can it be done from the top after removing the plastic cover and brackets to the radiator. Thanks in advance!

The bumper will need to be released at the top and within the wheel arches, takes about 5min total. From there you can lower it forward and work on the grill from behind without taking it completely off the car from below.

How bad is your grill? If not cracked you can consider plasti dip to customize and hide any blemishes.

There are also some reasonably priced after market grills, black, chrome, etc from about $200 online.

    Hope that helps.

I cracked the vertical chrome pieces, they fell out, I got an aftermarket replacement, so you are saying I should take out the first few black plastic push pin at top of wheel well only? Thanks for your reply

There's a how to on the forum and a video on YouTube on how to remove the bumper. Its very easy. I had mine off last weekend painting my grill. Its probably easier to take the whole bumper off to work on it. I think its only like 8 clips on the bottom. Don't forget the two bolts inside the wheel wells

Can't you use the crest and wreath from the old grill? You should be able to scrape the old tape off and put new tape on and reapply it. Otherwise you purchase them pretty cheap on ebay.
