Yes, I was aware of the downside going in but thank you.

Can we see a pic of the car from further away? Hard to see what the car looks like with the up close pics! Thanks!

New front tires came in today and will be installed tomorrow. When I get over the sticker shock for that I will get some pictures.

As a side note, with all the changes now done, I now have a pair of 19X10-40 OEM CTS-V Coupe rear wheels, from a 2011 model, for sale. No damage. $500 shipped to most locations. PM me.

    Re: Widened 19X9 CTS-V Wheels

Here's a quiz for you. The two tires in the photo are mounted on the exact same wheel. Are the tires the same size?

The left tire is a Michelin 285/35ZR-19, the right one is a Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrical 2 285-35ZR-19.

    How can that be?

On tire rack the section width spec on these two tires is the same.

No way they will fit on the front of the CTS so I sent them back. In order to get a Goodyear Eagle F1 tire that somewhat matches the Michelin 285/35 width I will have to get 265/40

What is wrong with the Michelin spec. The actual tire is not even close to 285mm wide.

I have read the other threads where you advocated the use of 10X19-40 CTS-V Coupe wheels in the front and you have had numerous request from members for pictures but none have been forthcoming. I ask you again, how about showing us some pictures of your car with this setup.

While I wait for the pictures I will not reply to any more of your tirades and leave it to other members to look back in this thread and decide for themselves if what I said justifies these personal attacks.

    Bye!

Are the F1's about 2" wider? hard to tell, but definitely wider!

Man, they will be quite something to see in your pic's.

    Thanks, Marv

I'm sorry but with all the distractions we had I think you missed the point. According to Tire Rack the two tires in the picture are the same size.

I ordered the Goodyear to replace the Michelin and as you can see they are far from the same physical size even thou they are both 285/35ZR19. Sent them back.

Getting Goodyear tires for the front is still a work in progress. I was able to get a couple of pictures of the rear tires.

    And the front:
