Re: HELP! Window Broke on its own

The largest share of the time shattered windows are the result of faulty heat treatment therefore they occur in batches. I'm betting that your broken window is no big surprise in the Cadillac system.

I figured it was going to be covered by warranty. Those things are just not supposed to happen. GM nor Cadillac make their own glass. I bet the dealer will have a glass company like Safelite do the actual repair. That's what the dealer did on my Vette when a faulty window regulator scratched the passenger side window. They also had the window tinting replaced as well by the company that originally did it.

Cadillac actually replaced the window in house, I had to buck up for the replacement tint, a whopping $15. The headache was the biggest frustration. Overall happy with how they handled it.
