2008 rocker panel upgrade question
I have a 2008 CTS with rocker panels like those on the car in this image
These are actual images of my car but it's hard to see the rocker panels
I have two questions:
1. Will the later model rocker panel like those on the car in the image below fit on a 2008 CTS?
2. Will the flared lower edge reduce the amount of rock damage to flared front of the rear fenders?
I'v already had this car repainted due to the excesive rock damage to the rear fenders and now one year later it already needs painted again. I added the OEM splash guards but they did little to reduce the rock damage. I'd like to upgrade to these rocker panels before repainting the car if they will fit. If they reduce the rock damage that would be great but i also like the styling of them better than the originals. It's hard to see in the image of my car but it has a CTS-V styling package which has ground effects in the front and rear. these flares rocker panels would finish the styling nicely.

Re: 2008 rocker panel upgrade question
I don't think they would cut down; significatly, but they are a direct fit. There a few mounting differences that require drilling one or two holes but other than that, it's not a big hassle. From 2010 all CTS's have these rockers.
